Quick question - Multiple instances

Is it at all possible to run multiple instances of Minecraft OpenMod? I'd like to load up a map for a video series my friends and I want to do, but it uses a different set of mods to what we currently have installed and we don't want to lose our current data if at all possible.

Alternatively, are there any easy ways to toggle between the two setups?
